At what point in her relationship history does a woman become promiscuous? Is it a certain number of relationships within a certain time? Is it dependent on her social environment? Does the fact that she has no interest in a long term relationship free her of 'social norms?' Or will she engender the enmity of women (and some men) simply because she is free of their constraints? Constraints between willing people are certainly acceptable, but what of those who are less willing and doing it only to appease the 'social norm?' Is not possession simply another form of aggression? I have a character who, in most circumstances, would be considered promiscuous. How much better in her other endeavors must she be in order for her love life to be merely eccentric or at least unassailable?
